I was slowly driving along a county dirt road scouting new scenery when I came upon this strand of oaks one late afternoon in spring of the year. I was thankful to stop as the road I was on had all the characteristics of an old time wash board! I walked the fence line observing the nuances of the scene. I would liked to have stayed longer and watched the effect of light on the trees as the sun continued its downward trek towards the horizon. But, I was out pretty far and I didn't know how far it was to a main road and it would be dark soon.
