Most of the leaves had been scattered to the wind of this lone tall tree, exposing the soft and delicate appearance of the limbs beneath. A few stubborn leaves were still clinging tight before finally relinquishing their grip.

I thought it was a beautiful tree with a nice contrast between its light colored limbs shinning in the sun and the dark

shadowed evergreen trees on the mountain.

Soon the entire landscape would would join this tree in donning their winter mantles.
