Alluding to musical harmonics, where there is a blending of different sounds, this painting is about blending of  seasons. That transitional period between Autumn and Winter. This painting is a larger and expanded version of a smaller work that I had done, which is based on a scene near Ruidoso, New Mexico. It was one of those times in which I happened to be at the right place at the right time. I think the beautiful combination of blue sky, cool blue shadows, complimented by the warm orange hues in the autumn trees makes for a striking statement.
