Often times, when you think of aspen trees, you think of them as being very tall and straight. This is of course a part of their charm. However, I was delighted to come across this grouping of aspens who decided to depart from the norm.

The mountain backdrop and vivid New Mexico blue sky and strong sunlight provided a perfect combination for this painting.
